Bethany Hayes
Scientist, Mother, Teacher, Advocate

Bethany holds a Bachelor of Science in Chemistry from Valdosta State University, a Master in Education in Curriculum and Instruction from Thomas University, a Doctor of Education in Curriculum and Instruction with a focus in STEM from American College of Education, and a Tier 1 Education Leadership Certification.
The mother of two boys and the parent of an autistic child, Bethany works to be a voice for autism education and helping teachers understand each student has unique learning needs.
Her professional goals include becoming a graduation coach, instructional coach, curriculum coach, MTSS coordinator, or STEM coordinator for a successful school system.
This blog originated from an assignment in a curriculum and instruction course at American College of Education, but Bethany chose to continue to blog, believing she had valuable information to share with others.
Originally from southern Georgia, she enjoys beach days, nature walks, and hopes to travel once she has retired from teaching. An avid reader, Bethany enjoys all genres of books and has two books currently in the writing stage. She also enjoys a summer project like refinishing a piece of furniture and finds the physical labor to be relaxing and the restoration or reimagination of a forgotten piece to be fulfilling.
